Dyslexia Reporting Requirements

The dyslexia intervention programs used during the previous school year to assist students with dyslexia are:

  1. Florida Center for Reading Research: Phonemic Awareness and Phonics activities

  2. Orton Gillingham curriculum

  3. Reading Success: Phonemic Awareness 

  4. Heggerty Phonemic Awareness 

  5. Making Words Lessons       

5 students received various dyslexia interventions during the school year; no students were identified with dyslexia.

NEW: New Legislative Requirement - Website Inclusion of Reading and Writing Curricula 

Pursuant to House Enrolled Act (HEA) 1558 Indiana Code 20-26-5-44.2, corporations and charter schools are required to post the following on their website by Saturday, July 15, and no later than July 15 annually: 

  • The name and publisher of the corporation or charter school's adopted reading and writing curricula listed by grade level for kindergarten through grade five; K-8 Savvas Language Arts 

  • Information regarding remedial programs provided by the corporation or charter school, including the grade levels for which the remedial programs are provided; and Grades k-8 daily targeted instruction with small groups for math and language arts in addition to regular classroom instruction

  • Contact information of a designated administrative contact who can provide information regarding the information described in the previous requirements. Jayme Davis, Pamela Canada, Ashlie Kimmel
